My Physical Therapy Approach To Your Recovery Process
Pain Relief Day 1
Follow a proven injury recovery process that starts with Relieving Your Pain, then Restoring Movement, and finally Improving Your Stability and Strength. I help you get out of pain with with manual, cold laser and possibly taping. This approach will also assist in decreasing your swelling and inflammation at the site of your injury.
Restoring Movement
Next up to getting you feeling better and helping your body shift towards recovery is restoring optimal movement and joint motions. My physical therapy toolbox is loaded with a number of different manual therapy techniques and soft tissue tools to help accomplish this. This include Active Release Techniques which are the Gold Standard for soft tissue care, Graston Technique, Fascial Abrasion Technique, and more.
Strengthening
Once we have restored your movement it is time to move on to improving your stability and strength imbalances. This order of treatment for mobility and stability is critical and often overlooked in many rehab programs. Strength before mobility never works since it can cause the wrong muscles to substitute or can make you stiffer and less resilient to injury.
